Denver weather: Chance of thunderstorms brings cooler weekend temps
Today’s forecast calls for partly sunny skies with a high of about 90 degrees, according to the National Weather Service. A slight chance of thunderstorms starts around 2 p.m.
Temperatures will drop to an overnight low of about 62 degrees with the possibility of storms continuing throughout the night.
The weather service expects a cooler weekend with highs hitting 89 degrees on Friday, 78 on Saturday and 74 degrees on Sunday. The chance of thunderstorms will remain likely through the weekend.
Tomorrow’s chance for rain is up to 40% and rises to 50% on Saturday and 60% on Sunday.
Moisture is especially expected in the high country, which brings a limited chance for flash floods in wildfire burn scar areas.
The chance for rain will continue into early next week, with highs in the 70s and 80s until Wednesday when they should peak in the 90s.
