Dad takes daughter, 6, to Gary Glitters hostel and demands answers from police

An angry dad of a six-year-old took his daughter to the secret bail hostel where infamous pop paedophile Gary Glitter is now staying to tell police how “appalled” he was.

The bizarre incident happened earlier today (February 5) and was in response to details of the hostel being leaked online.

As soon as the address appeared the protests and riots took place outside with people trying to break in.

It was also revealed that the property was within walking distance of 10 schools.

And now one man has taken matters into his own hands after oddly dragging his six-year-old daughter to confront police and staff at the site.

The man, who claims he is 46-year-old David Jones said: “There's schools all around.

“I’m just appalled at what’s going on. That’s what my tax pounds are going on? To protect someone like this?

“I would just like someone to explain what’s going on. Explain to my six year old daughter who you’re protecting in there.

“It’s her that needs protecting – not him.

“It’s our children that need protecting.

“This is totally different to America where you can go on a website and find out who lives in your neighbourhood.

“Here it doesn’t happen and it’s completely wrong. Why does he have more rights than a six-year-old girl?”

"He’s 78 years old – he should have just died in prison.”

Gary Glitter 'will take lie detector tests' to prove he's not reoffending when released

Glitter was released on Friday having served half of his 16-year sentence in HMP The Verne in Dorset.

He was found guilty of the abuse of three young girls in 2015.

He was initially jailed in Vietnam after being convicted of committing obscene acts with two girls, aged 10 and 11 a few years prior, but the sex offender was later released and deported to the UK, and was convicted of attempted rape, four counts of indecent assault, and one of having sex with a girl under the age of 13.

He has now been fitted with a GPS tag to monitor his movements and will also be on the sex offenders' list for life, is on a strict nightly curfew, can not do any work without approval from officials and is barred from leaving the UK.
