Camilla Parker Bowles believes her role will be to act as 'back up' to Prince Charles when he becomes King — and says she learnt this from Prince Philip.
The royal shared her expectations of her future life as Queen Consort in a candid new interview this week, following the Queen's decision to grant her the title on her Platinum Jubilee in February.
Speaking ahead of her 75th birthday on July 17, Camilla praised the late Duke of Edinburgh by reflecting on how the "macho" former Colonel-in-Chief of the Army Cadet Force always took a metaphorical step behind his wife.

She told The Australian Women's Weekly: "I learned that your place is several feet behind the monarch"
"You're there as a back-up."
Looking at her place within the family, royal expert recently observed that Kate Middleton and Camilla's close relationship has brought about a new royal 'fab four'.
The 'very close' relationship between the Duchess of Cambridge and Duchess of Cornwall became apparent when Camilla commissioned Kate to take her portrait for a special cover of Country Life released to mark her 75th birthday, says Vanity Fair's Katie Nicholl.
Speaking on GB News, Katie talked about how close the pair were.
"It's interesting isn't it, we were sitting here talking about the fab four last time and, of course, that was Harry and Meghan and William and Kate and now we talk about a very different fab four," said Katie.
"We are talking about Charles and Camilla and William and Kate."
A royal source said it was Camilla's idea to ask Kate to take the photograph, while Country Life's Paula Lester said they 'could not be happier' with the photoshoot, adding that Kate took the commission 'very seriously' and was 'incredibly professional'.
Paula said she'd spoken to Kate to discuss requirements and was given a range of 'beautifully shot images'.
